Day 1: Welcome to Kigali
Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your private safari representative and transferred to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle.
As you make your way into Kigali, enjoy your first impressions of Rwanda’s clean, green and beautifully organized capital. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to see parts of the city before settling into your accommodation.

Day 2 : Explore Kigali & Cross into Uganda
Discover Kigali before heading through Rwanda’s famous rolling hills and beautiful countryside.
Continue to the Cyanika border, cross into Uganda, and journey to Kisoro beneath the dramatic Virunga Volcanoes.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking, Lake Mutanda & Art Island
This is the moment many travelers dream about.
Enter the rainforest and trek in search of endangered mountain gorillas. Once your assigned gorilla family is located, spend an unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat.
After the trek, the adventure continues on Lake Mutanda.
Enjoy a scenic boat ride across the lake and visit Art Island, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.

Leave Kisoro and journey through the landscapes of western Uganda toward Rubirizi.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
It’s time for a classic African safari.
Head into Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive in search of elephants, buffalo, lions, Uganda kob, warthogs, and other savannah wildlife.
Later, board a boat for a cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel.
Watch hippos fill the water, crocodiles rest along the banks, and elephants and buffalo gather near the shoreline.

International Airfare Protection
Every Earth Explorers expedition includes an international airfare allowance based on average economy-class fares from select major international departure gateways at the time the itinerary is published.

This airfare allowance is included in your package price. If the actual airfare at the time of ticketing exceeds the included allowance due to seasonal demand, airline fare increases, limited seat availability, changes in departure city, or traveler-requested itinerary modifications, the traveler will be responsible for paying the fare difference before airline tickets are issued.
