7-Day Tanzania Big Five Safari and stunning landscape

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private safari representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha.

Depending on your arrival time, spend the remainder of the day relaxing, enjoying the lodge facilities or taking in the peaceful surroundings of Tanzania’s safari gateway. Your guide will brief you on the adventure ahead.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, a spectacular wilderness renowned for its large elephant populations, ancient baobab trees and beautiful open landscapes.

Enjoy a rewarding game drive through the park, keeping an eye out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and numerous antelope species. The Tarangire River also attracts wildlife throughout the year, making it an excellent place to observe animals gathering around water.

After your safari, proceed to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, travel towards Lake Manyara National Park for an exciting wildlife experience in one of Tanzania’s most diverse ecosystems.

Explore its lush groundwater forests, open grasslands and scenic lakeshore habitats. Look out for elephants, giraffes, hippos, baboons and an impressive variety of birdlife, including flamingos when seasonal conditions are favourable. You may also encounter the park’s famous, but elusive, tree-climbing lions.

Later, continue to Karatu, where the beautiful highland scenery provides a relaxing setting for your evening.

After breakfast, journey through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Highlands towards the legendary Serengeti National Park.

Enjoy spectacular views as the landscape gradually opens into vast grasslands dotted with wildlife. Upon entering the Serengeti, begin your first game drive across its remarkable plains, searching for lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes and large herds of grazing animals.

As the afternoon unfolds, continue towards your safari camp or lodge for dinner beneath the African sky.

Today is dedicated to exploring the magnificent Serengeti, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations.

Set out with your private safari guide to discover its diverse habitats and remarkable wildlife. Follow the day’s wildlife activity across the plains, looking for predators, elephants, giraffes, zebras and vast herds of wildebeest.

Depending on the season and location, you may witness part of the Great Wildebeest Migration as animals move across the Serengeti ecosystem.

For an extraordinary experience, consider an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise, followed by a memorable bush breakfast.

Enjoy breakfast before a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, offering another opportunity to discover its extraordinary wildlife and landscapes.

Later, begin your scenic journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through the changing landscapes of the Serengeti and the beautiful highlands.

Arrive at your lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands or Karatu, where you can relax and prepare for the following day’s crater adventure.

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive.

This extraordinary natural sanctuary supports an impressive concentration of wildlife. Explore its open grasslands, woodland areas and seasonal wetlands while searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, spotted hyenas and the endangered black rhinoceros.

Following your crater adventure, ascend to the crater rim and begin your return journey to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Evening or late-night international departures are recommended to allow sufficient time for the road transfer.
