Day 1: Welcome to Kigali
Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your private safari representative and transferred to your hotel in a comfortable private vehicle.
As you make your way into Kigali, enjoy your first impressions of Rwanda’s clean, green and beautifully organized capital. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to see parts of the city before settling into your accommodation.

Day 2 : Kigali → Cyanika → Lake Mutanda
Begin your journey through Rwanda’s spectacular Land of a Thousand Hills.
Travel north toward the Cyanika border, cross into Uganda, and continue into the dramatic landscapes of the Virunga region.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Tracking → Lake Bunyonyi
Today, you enter the forest.
Join professional trackers and rangers for an unforgettable mountain gorilla tracking experience.
Trek through the rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, spend an extraordinary hour observing them in their natural habitat.

Every Earth Explorers expedition includes an international airfare allowance based on average economy-class fares from select major international departure gateways at the time the itinerary is published.

This airfare allowance is included in your package price. If the actual airfare at the time of ticketing exceeds the included allowance due to seasonal demand, airline fare increases, limited seat availability, changes in departure city, or traveler-requested itinerary modifications, the traveler will be responsible for paying the fare difference before airline tickets are issued.
